This years’ Spring Field Day will be held on Tuesday 15th September with another impressive line-up of NVT Tours & Business Sessions.
Last year saw the day kick off with either a choice of an NVT tour of the new variety trials in the region for wheat, barley, oats and canola, or a jam-packed morning of business sessions discussing Farming in the Digital Age and On-Farm Safety.
Upon return of the NVT trial tour group, attendees listened to a variety of talks regarding glyphosate, value add opportunities with Omega 3 canolas and the decoupling of risk and reward with sheep.
The afternoon was an informative tour of trial site demonstrations including small-plot flax trials demonstrating investment in the linseed economy, legume crops for reliable profitability and the benefits of soil amelioration.
